Leveraging our world-class technology solutions and your expertise in edge security, API security, and cyber security incident response, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvements to the defensive posture of our digital perimeter.
Additionally, you'll influence senior stakeholders, drawing upon an extensive industry network to ensure our security strategy stays ahead of evolving threats.
Your impact and contribution: Lead Perimeter Posture Management: Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through development and deployment, ensuring our organization's perimeter security is resilient and responsive to emerging threats.Manage Incident Response: Take charge during cyber security or operational incidents, leading cross-functional teams in containment/service restoration, root cause analysis, and resolution efforts.
Your hands-on experience will be essential in ensuring rapid, effective incident response.Drive Proactive Control Uplift: Identify opportunities to enhance our security posture proactively, implementing advanced security controls across key areas, including:Edge Security: Protect against DDoS attacks, optimize CDN performance, and enforce WAAP policies to safeguard application traffic at the edge.API Security: Establish and enforce security measures to protect API endpoints and prevent unauthorized access or data exposure.External Attack Surface Management: Utilize industry-leading tools to identify, monitor, and reduce the organization's exposure to external threats.Collaborate and Influence: Work alongside engineering, project management, and business analysis teams, translating security needs into business-aligned solutions.
Build relationships with senior stakeholders to secure buy-in, influence key decisions, and drive adoption of security initiatives.Leverage Industry Connections: Draw on your network of industry contacts to stay at the forefront of security best practices, emerging threats, and technologies, continuously informing and adapting the organization's security strategy.We're interested in hearing from people with the following experience: Extensive expertise in cyber security and network security, with strong experience in edge security (CDN, DDoS, WAAP), API security, and external attack surface management.Proven experience as a Product Owner in the cyber security field.Real-world experience in incident response, leading containment and remediation efforts, and ensuring lessons learned inform future prevention strategies.A proactive approach to security control uplift, constantly seeking ways to stay ahead of potential threats and enhance defensive measures.Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to translate complex security requirements into clear, actionable business solutions and influence senior leaders effectively.An established industry network that keeps you informed on the latest security developments and gives you access to innovative solutions.If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
