Product Owner Payments Sanctions Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Sydney, Australia See yourself in our team: The Payments Sanctions Squad is part of the High Value and International Payments Crew, whose purpose is to deliver high value and international payment options that are faster, safer, more affordable, and transparent, which meets the changing needs of our customers through a seamless digital experience.
The Payments Sanctions Squad focuses on delivering critical payments sanctions capabilities to ensure we fulfill sanctions related regulatory obligations and enhance the effectiveness of the sanctions process to ensure a positive customer experience.
You will report into the General Manager, Crew Lead for the High Value and International Payments Crew.
Do work that matters: Lead and define the product vision, goals, and roadmap.
Lead the end-to-end development of the product roadmap ensuring maximum output and quality from the squad.
Apply domain expertise to support prioritization and successful achievement of business and squad objectives.
Responsibilities: Accountable for addressing impediments, dependencies, driving decisions, and resolving escalations.
Act as the voice of the business and translate this for the squad and the external vendor.
Drive discovery and inception to ensure alignment of product strategy.
Formulate hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will inform product roadmap and prioritization decisions.
Identify, articulate, and manage risks and compliance across streams of work.
Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
Lead and develop the product roadmap, and engage with senior stakeholders, including Financial Crimes Compliance and business units to manage the delivery of product roadmap.
Lead the squad day-to-day to deliver change and lifecycle activities.
Maintain a healthy prioritized Backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes.
Manage senior stakeholders to ensure that prioritization is understood and agreed to.
Manage the squad's performance to defined key objectives and results.
Release prototypes and iterate a product that meets customer needs and achieves the Crew's goals.
Qualifications & Experience: Have proven Product Owner or equivalent experience.
Prior experience as a Product Manager / Business Analyst / Delivery lead would also be considered.
Are experienced in defining product roadmap and delivery of product vision.
Self-driven, accountable for delivery, critical thinker, strong problem-solving skills.
Experience working with external vendors.
Are strong communicators, both verbal and written.
Experience with Agile methodology, working within an Agile Matrix would be ideal.
Prior experience working with onshore & offshore mixed squad.
