About you: You are an experienced Product Owner/Business Analyst, ideally with a payroll, rostering or HR background, who has a passion for product, a well-rounded knowledge of agile development and an ability to communicate requirements and make decisions.
You love working collaboratively in your team and across other engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure that dependencies are managed, issues and risks are communicated and that you are consistently delivering value.
Ideally the successful candidate will be Perth based, but we're also open to considering Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane as alternatives.
Day-to-day, you will: Be the representative within your allocated Development Team for the Product Manager, focused on tactical delivery, quarterly planning and elaborations as well as sprint plans and incremental delivery.
Gather requirements from the Product Manager and other Stakeholders to ensure that the problem to be solved is clearly articulated and converted into stories and acceptance criteria.
Work collaboratively with other development teams and stakeholders to ensure that dependencies are managed, and issues and risks are communicated.
Contribute product release notes, prepare internal training videos, presentations and customer material as needed to support Go to Market collateral.
Clearly identify and make decisions regarding the prioritization of product backlog.
Your skills and experiences might also include: An ability to prioritize requirements and stories - weighing up complexity, risk and value.
Taking high level ideas, concepts and problem statements and breaking these down into clear user stories with an emphasis on simplicity and ease of understanding, while ensuring the root problem is resolved.
At least 2 years' experience in a PO/BA role and a good working knowledge of agile development methods, processes and best practices.
An awareness of the evolution in various technologies and how these can help to increase software & product value.
Strong communication, influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills and experience in Jira & Confluence.
