Product Owner

Our Client, a leading Bank based in Sydney CBD, requires a Product Owner to manage a complex, multi-squad Business Banking product.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving data-centric initiatives, including Data Analysis, Data Products, and Data Platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the product vision and strategy, aligning with the broader business goals.
Squad Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with our 9 squads, coordinating efforts and prioritising initiatives.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Head of Business and Technology, other product owners, and the Data squad.
Prioritisation: Make critical decisions on feature prioritisation and resource allocation.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve roadblocks and challenges, ensuring timely delivery.
Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data insights to inform product decisions and measure success.
Required Experience and Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience within the financial services industry.
3 years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner certification.
3+ Years Business Lending experience is a nice to have.
Proficiency in Design Thinking and Continuous Delivery concepts.
Strong understanding of Agile principles, particularly Scrum.
Solid grasp of software delivery processes and best practices.
Ability to identify valuable features, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
High-level technical competence, including data analysis, data structures, data products, and data platforms.
