Role – Product Owner • Permanent Full-time opportunity • Location: Sydney • Hybrid working model (2 days in a week in the office + WFH) How will I help?
Westpac is seeking a dynamic and innovative Digital Product Owner to help define and deliver a market-leading Digital Identity Capability for both consumers and businesses (KYC and KYB).
This role is pivotal in merging business drivers, customer needs, and platform capabilities to create exceptional customer experiences.
Key accountabilities include: • Drive agreed business and customer outcomes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality developments within Westpac Digital.
• Create and review user stories that provide detailed requirements for development and test teams.
• Attend scrum meetings, planning sessions, retrospectives and facilitate demos.
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to maximize digital adoption and advocacy by understanding underlying customer needs.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment on KYC and KYB capabilities, ensuring plans, budgets, and execution priorities are in sync across Digital, Segment, Product, Marketing, Technology, Branch and Customer Service Centre teams.
• Deliver projects and initiatives on time and within budget.
• Engage in tracking and business intelligence to provide regular insights into digital product performance.

What do I need?
• Proven experience in driving digital product development as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
• Experience in Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) capabilities.
• Experience with delivering projects using Agile delivery practices.
• Proven ability to drive and measure business outcomes.
• Results-oriented, focusing attention on key objectives to achieve effective business and customer outcomes.
• Strong ability to engage, influence and manage expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and create effective teamwork across traditional organizational boundaries.
• Customer-oriented, seeking to identify and exceed customer requirements.
• Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline or equivalent business experience.
