We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Product Owner to join our clients team in Sydney. This role represents an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background and an in-depth understanding of Financial Products and Domains. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the business when establishing business requirements, maximising value delivery, managing complex environments, and supporting Developers, Analysts and Quality Engineers.
What you will do: - Accountable for development of requirements into epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with the squads.
- Make day-to-day decisions to enable development team to move quickly through product iterations.
- Ensure the Delivery and Development teams understand the value of each user story being delivered at the right time.
- Own and manage squad backlog and prioritise tasks in line with road map.
- Involved in road map planning, release planning, execution, review of each sprint, realising impact, value and focus on the right priorities.
- Work collaboratively with the squad to deliver backlog efficiently.
- Communicate priorities and outcomes with key stakeholders.
- Attend all relevant ceremonies.
What you bring: - Strong technical background and an in-depth understanding of Financial Products and Domains (operations, processes, end users, customers, regulations).
- Experience with vendor management and driving projects with operational teams.
- Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and process analysis.
- Extensive experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with HCD techniques.
- Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams.
- Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a co-located cross functional business and IT team.
- Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content.
- Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships.
- Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making.
- 4+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst.
