Product Owner (B2B Software)Product Owner (Payments)The product owners play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our payment and software solutions.
As the Product Owner, you will be tasked with understanding customer needs, market trends, and taking ownership of the product roadmap in your domain.
You will be working in close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our business clients and drive customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Product Strategy and Roadmap:Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our B2B software or Payments.Create and maintain a strategic product roadmap that aligns with the business objectives and market demands.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions.Liaise closely with Spenda Payments Advisor for consultation on current market and any upcoming changes forecast in the payment landscape.Input into Product Strategy Paper and ensure it is updated annually in collaboration with the COO.Requirements Gathering and Definition:Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to gather and prioritize product requirements.Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.Collaboration, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, goals, and objectives.Foster and collaborate strong cross-functional relationships with development, design, marketing, and customer support teams to gather insights and requirements.Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding product features and updates.Communicate product priorities, updates, and release plans effectively to internal and external stakeholders.Release Management:Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to delivery.Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and schedule releases, ensuring timely and high-quality product launches.Monitor product performance and user engagement post-launch, making adjustments as necessary.User Experience, Design, and Development Collaboration:Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing payment interfaces.Advocate for user-centric design principles and ensure a seamless payment experience for end-users.Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely delivery of software features.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and reviews, to facilitate continuous delivery and improvement.Assist in project planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.Market Research and Performance Analysis:Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and drive continuous improvement.Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and iterate on the product based on user feedback and market trends.Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.Use analytics and customer feedback to inform product decisions and validate hypotheses.About You:Whilst previous experience in a similar position would be essential, equally as important will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a B2B software/Payments or development environment.Understanding of B2B software, payments, industry trends, regulations, and technologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools.Desirable - Familiarity with B2B software solutions or Payments, SaaS models, and relevant industry trends.Why Join Spenda:You will be joining Spenda during an exciting period of growth.
