About the role The Product Owner will manage product development and deliver roadmap initiatives that will bring products all the way from concept to launch and into lifecycle management.
This role will play an integral part in the organisation to manage and maintain overall user experience using applied design thinking, agile and lean practices.
What you'll do Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Business Owners, Business Analysts (BA), Developers, and other stakeholders, to understand and address key challenges Take ownership of delivering the strategic product direction, supported by clear rationale and robust insights Lead the creation and presentation of key artefacts, including product strategy Work closely with user experience specialists, visual designers, and editors Understand system and platform capabilities, and effectively communicate this information to others Manage communication during solution releases, ensuring stakeholder alignment on development progress, scope, and any obstacles Take ownership of features by embracing the Product Owner role as defined in Standards Australia's agile methodology Be familiar with agile delivery and provide vision and direction to the development team and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle About you Minimum two years of experience managing digital products Experience working with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Developers Experience working in agile delivery in a Product role Technically fluent skills in digital: social, web, mobile, apps etc A demonstrated track record of working with engineering and UX/UI teams to deliver software Proven experience in scoping and planning projects.
Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management Preferably experienced in Organisation Change Management Display an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle Strong presentation skills and experience creating features/epics in Jira Strong competency with Roadmap development Culture & Benefits Standards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
