About the business unit Corrections Victoria is part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety and is responsible for the direction, management, and operation of Victoria's adult corrections system, including Community Correctional Services, public and privately operated prisons, and a transitional centre.
It ensures prisoners are safely and securely contained and aims to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
As a division of Corrections Victoria, Forensic Intervention Services is a specialist program area within the Offender Services Division that provides service users in custody and in the community with offence-specific, evidence-based screening, assessment, and intervention services to support their rehabilitation.
In doing so, Forensic Intervention Services is a critical component of the department's strategy to reduce reoffending and contribute to community safety.
About the role The Service Development Branch provides oversight, monitoring and reform of clinical service delivery across the state, including across both prisons and community corrections.
The Service Development Branch has responsibility for the management and maintenance of the technological systems that support service delivery and continuous improvement.
The Service Capability and Solutions team is responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of the relevant systems that support statewide clinical service delivery, and for the management of performance reporting and analysis.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Service Capability and Solutions, the Product Owner will be responsible for facilitating the ongoing development and improvement of relevant operating systems.
As the Product Owner you will lead and consult with key stakeholders from various business areas across the Branch and Corrections Victoria to ensure the alignment between service delivery requirements and system design.
This role will also act as the Primary Subject Matter Expert for these systems and provide training and ongoing support to end users located centrally and across all Corrections Victoria locations.
About you Demonstrated ability to analyse issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines, to take initiative and work under limited direction.Demonstrated experience in analysing and documenting business requirements and technical specifications and communicating these to key stakeholders.Experience in using the Commissioner's Information Systems including CVIMS, E*Justice and PIMS is highly desirable.Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification or experience is desirable.What's in it for you?
