As an experienced Product Owner, you will be accountable for maximising the value of the product resulting from the work of your colleagues in a scrum team by ensuring the team's backlog of work is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. You will be the scrum team's primary advocate for scheme participants and business area staff and primary link to business and technology strategy.In practice, you conduct the following key activities:Educate and influence business area staff about what's desirable, viable and feasible. This may involve working with senior managers and other leadership roles to gain support for changes or solutions.Be a trusted and transparent ambassador for business within the constraints. This means ensuring scrum team members understand user needs rather than taking a 'tech easy' approach.Provide for a well refined and ordered product backlog that scrum team members can pull from as they have capacity. This means preparing the runway; looking at what's coming in immediately, defining roadmap features and working with business and architects to prepare for what's coming later.Establish and maintain a product roadmap to guide development work, ensuring content in DevOps is complete and sufficient in detail.Connect the product vision to the development process by establishing and maintaining a product roadmap as the key reference point for all scrum team members and other stakeholders.Participate in ceremonies and events which form part of the ways of working.
