Product Owner

Seeking a suitably experienced Product Owner to join our team. This role is critical in maximising the value delivered by a dedicated scrum team, ensuring that the team's backlog aligns with both customer and stakeholder needs. The Product Owner serves as the primary advocate for users and stakeholders, connecting business strategy with technology implementation and supporting agile product evolution.Responsibilities:Customer Connection: Understand and communicate customer needs, identify problems, and develop solutions.Feedback Integration: Coordinate user and stakeholder feedback, test benefit hypotheses, evolve solution designs, and relay insights to the Agile Release Train (ART).Vision Contribution: Help shape the Change Program vision and roadmaps, educate the ART, and support work prioritisation.Collaboration for Value: Manage and prioritise the scrum team's backlog, guide story creation and acceptance, and support the architectural runway.Key Activities:Educate and influence staff on solution feasibility and alignment with user needs.Champion a refined, well-ordered product backlog to maintain a clear development pathway.Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring details are fully defined in DevOps.Engage with business stakeholders, balancing solution options, resource constraints, and necessary trade-offs.Lead discussions in PI Planning events and collaborate on identifying and managing issues, risks, and dependencies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the scrum team and collaborate with the Scrum Master to enhance ways of working.Qualifications & Experience:3+ years in a Product Ownership or similar role.Familiarity with the Digital Service Standard.Relevant qualifications or certifications in Agile/SAFe or related fields.
