As a Product Manager for Orica's Digital Solutions focusing on BlastIQ products, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our analytical tools.
You will be responsible for defining product vision, creating detailed product requirements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Your expertise in mining, data analysis, and product management will drive the development of innovative products that offer significant value to our clients in the mining and resources sector.|
The ideal candidate will leverage their mining experience, analytical skills, and enthusiasm for technology to help us continue building state of the art solutions for the resource industry.
This position involves utilising advanced analytical tools and modern product techniques to extract valuable insights from data, while translating requirements from customers into technical specifications for software development.
A person with a can-do, think different attitude who can lead and influence teams internally at Orica and work directly with customers, users and across the product teams to solve our customers' problems by building great products our customers love.
The Product Strategy & Vision for Orica's BlastIQ products involves developing a clear, strategic roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
This includes identifying market opportunities, understanding customer requirements, and analysing industry trends to drive innovation.
As a Product Manager, you will be working closely with other product teams, the strategy defines value propositions and prioritizes product development in line with business goals and timelines.
In collaboration with engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams, the product vision is translated into detailed requirements, user stories, and prototypes.
Managing the product backlog, the focus is on delivering high-quality products on time, while continuously prioritizing features based on customer feedback and business value.
Other responsibilities involve Stakeholder management and market analysis are key components, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
This involves gathering feedback, conducting market research, and analysing competitors to inform product decisions.
By managing user feedback and conducting regular product reviews, the strategy ensures alignment with stakeholder expectations and ongoing product improvement.
Experience in drill and blast roles.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
3yrs+ in the mining industry 3yrs+ in digital solutions industry.
Strong technology competency with the ability to manage data, models, and modern software applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong technical writing and presentation skills.
Must be able to travel internationally and to remote locations when required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
