IR's Product Manager's act as the voice of the customer within IR.
Products will be at various stages of the product lifecycle requiring different levels of effort and different skills focus.
Product Managers own the end-to-end product management process for assigned products including market analysis, business case development, roadmap development, product definition, requirements writing, liaising with engineering on estimation and delivery, development of supporting documentation and field materials, liaising with Product Marketing on product launch, sales support, events, and customer engagement.
Job Description The key responsibilities of the role include –
Act as product owner for assigned products/projects Conduct market research to identify required platform capabilities that add value to the IR product portfolio Assist with the development of business cases to understand the relative returns of various products and features. Represent product needs within the overall portfolio roadmap and support the relative priority of requested features Create high level platform capability definitions and functional requirements that represent customer input and/or achieve strategic platform objectives Liaise with engineering to ensure requirements are understood and define acceptance criteria to validates delivery of value to the customer Partner with engineering on development estimates and throughout the agile development process to ensure platform capability development meets agreed milestones and timeframes Ensure the engineering task breakdown process achieves the intended customer & product line 'value' within the deliverable Assist with the development of commercial models, product pricing and revenue estimates Contribute to product documentation including release notes, user guides, and feature documentation. Ensure preparation and completion of all launch activities. Partner with Product Marketing to develop and support launch materials, trainings, events, activities. Support sales and marketing with customer facing activities as required Meet with customers to evangelize the platform benefits and gain customer insights for ongoing platform improvement. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Products you own Desired Skills and Experience The job requirements and qualifications required for the role include –
Strong professional experience working in a product and technical environment, preferably in enterprise software Experience working as a product manager for a software/SaaS product. Proven experience in taking a software release through the Product Management process from market analysis, to definition, to development, through launch Previous Experience in Unified Communications, UCaaS or CCaSS is desirable Experience in Performance Management tools is advantageous Experience working as a product manager for a software/SaaS product. Proven experience in taking a software release through the Product Management process from concept to commercial Launch Demonstrated ability to understand core business problems facing customers and create a winning business strategy around a particular market/problem definition Proven ability to capture customer requirements and decompose these into user stories that an engineering team can understand and use to define implementation tasks Understand new disruptive technologies changing the market Data and evidence driven with the right mental tools, model, experience and mind-set to build a strong case for your thinking. Self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment. Comfortable speaking with multiple stakeholders at all levels, from deep technical to senior management Highly reliable and able to deliver to strict deadlines, prioritize work, and communicate the need for assistance when required Confident decision making, balancing short term growth and long-term scalability Manage stakeholder interactions with compassion, flair and exceptional clarity in order that they understand yours and the team's motivations and decisions Sensitive to needs of the team, all stakeholders and the company at the same time, with the ability to rationalize priorities calmly and communicate clearly Ability to identify platform capabilities from a diverse set of inputs across the various lines of business and translate these into platform features Ability to travel, both domestic and international, in line with business needs Prior experience building data intelligence platforms would be highly regarded While experience in the above areas will be highly considered, it's important to note they will be secondary to the person with the right determination, attitude and IR's compatibility.
