Job DescriptionChallenge yourself to uplift the standard of Qantas aircraft cabins across all fleetsWork with leaders and peer departments to establish a new functionPermanent role based at our Mascot CampusOverseas applications considered for sponsorshipThe Product Manager – Cabin Condition is responsible for lifting standards in cabin cleanliness, functionality and presentation of existing Qantas cabins across different generations of aircraft. With aircraft cabins being a leading driver of customer NPS, this new role is responsible for developing a new capability within the Inflight Customer Experience team to drive partner teams across the organisation in the pursuit of cabin excellence. This role has potential to grow and will report to the Head of Product, Aircraft and Passenger Products, who is responsible for new cabin development, cabin condition, inflight entertainment and connectivity, plus passenger products (all SKUs other than food and beverage).
Responsibilities of this role include analysis and performance management across key customer and operational metrics, developing a plan to improve cabin health, driving and prioritising effort from key partner operational teams to manage cabin cleaning and maintenance, as well as inputting into future cabin design and investment to ensure continuous improvement.
Central to this role is maximising customer satisfaction of existing cabins within the constraints of cost, ground time, resourcing, product age and other considerations. Internal stakeholders include Airports, Customer Insights, Engineering and Finance teams.
As a leader, you are the custodian of cabin condition of existing fleets and will play a critical role in improving the experience of our customers and employees onboard as we bridge to new generation fleets.
In your role, you will: Have four years of experience in an airline or airline service provider with cabin related experience driving cabin related performance and improvementHave an understanding of cleaning/fleet presentation and cabin engineering and maintenance disciplines and the interplay between these functions and potential opportunitiesAnalytical capability to interrogate operational serviceability, customer survey and complaint data with the ability to present key trends and recommendations to managementStrong ability to influence other departments outside reporting lines and other service providers with high interpersonal, collaboration and communication skillsDevelop, lead and execute aircraft cabin condition strategy, incorporating customer, crew, engineering and maintenance insights to develop an effective and prioritised programAdvocate for cabin upkeep considerations and lessons learned in the design of future aircraft cabinsLead product management initiatives, including prioritisation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, with a focus on agile and human-centered design principlesBuild a platform to develop, grow and evolve the cabin condition function as an effective body within the organisationWhy Qantas?
