We are committed to providing our customers with the sustainable power they need.Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to further develop your experience in product development and/or power generation?Our Large Power Solutions business is a leader in its specialized field to provide turnkey and backup power solutions in the >1500KVA power space for significant capital-value projects.This role is responsible to develop and maintain high quality and cost-effective mechanical design solutions for the internal sales team as well as provide ad hoc technical support to the broader team including drafting, build documentation, supplier documentation, supplier qualification and product quality support and improvement.A key focus of the role will be to review current designs and implement cost reduction initiatives without impacting overall product quality. The role provides some industrial and marine application engineering support to the sales teams nationally.Specific responsibilities:Development, review and maintenance of cost effective and profitable solutions including 3D technical drawings (mechanical and electrical) to support the request for quotation process to suppliers.Creating and maintaining technical documentation including general arrangement drawings, assembly drawing/diagram in an instructional format for the workshop team, and technical sales material (product or options specification sheet, performance sheet etc.).Support Configure Price tool. Ability to action requests from the sales team within SalesForce.Conduct new product factory acceptance tests and factory commissioning.Provide technical support and communication with other departments in the business as well as external customer and supplier relating technical documentation and opportunities for cost and quality improvements.Be part of identifying and maintaining processes and procedures for CDC engineering.Identify new and replacement products and suppliers for the role's market segment customer solutions.Develop and maintain high quality and cost-effective design solutions.ABOUT YOU:Mechanical or related Engineering qualification.3D drafting (Inventor) high level experience.2D AutoCAD experience.At least 2 years in similar industry.Ability to support small workshop team with cost and quality improvement projects.New product introduction experience.Customer technical support experience.Attention to detail when solving complex engineering issues.Ability to explain complex engineering concepts to workshop staff and customers.Package engineering and project management.Ability to explain electrical engineering concepts to both non-technical audiences and experienced customers.Business Licensing Authority (BLA) - Victorian registration.At EPSA we embrace equal opportunity and diversity, and we know our people are our most valuable asset, so safety and wellbeing come first every day, every time.
