As a small but global and rapidly growing skincare business, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team and drive the development and success of our product lines.
The Product Development Manager will play an important role in the future of our skincare products.
This position requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the skincare industry and all technical and commercial aspects of product development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a keen eye for formulae and ingredient details, and a passion for creating products that delight our customers while meeting commercial business objectives.
Reports to: Key Responsibilities: Responsible for product roadmap timelines.Execute the comprehensive product NPD strategy that aligns with the company's vision and goals.Ensure timely delivery of new products and updates to existing products.Ongoing cost and formula management and improvement on current products.Sourcing and assessment of current and new manufacturers.Product Development: Manage the product development process to launch, including overseeing formulation, packaging, and testing.Oversee a large volume of products at different stages of development, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.Conduct pricing and COGs analysis.Source and test packaging components.Evaluate product performance.Ensure products meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities for product improvements and innovations.Assist in the development of marketing product knowledge materials.Budget and Resource Management: Manage the product development budget and allocate resources effectively.Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and partners.Market Analysis and Research: Conduct competitor and market research.Collaborate with manufacturers.Ensure standards are met for formulation and packaging artwork requirements.Cross-functional Collaboration: Communicate with marketing to contribute to go-to-market strategies.Coordinate artwork process with Product Designer, Regulatory, and Logistics.Partner with regulatory consultants to ensure compliance for packaging and formulas.Quality Assurance: Oversee product testing and feedback processes to ensure product quality and performance.Qualifications: Proven track record of successfully developing and launching skincare and/or cosmetic products.A solid understanding of skincare formulations and ingredients.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Passion for skincare packaging, formulations, and a deep understanding of the industry.Minimum 3 years experience developing consumer products and working alongside manufacturing in skincare.Hands-on experience developing volume products with offshore manufacturers.Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume, a cover letter detailing their relevant experience, and examples of successful product launches - please do not contact the office directly.
