Role Overview UMENCO is currently seeking a Product Development Manager for an established Australian brand who are known for their refined wardrobe staples.As Product Development Manager, the successful talent will spearhead the creation of seasonal RTW collections, ensuring every piece aligns with the brands vision and creative direction. This leadership role will guide the fit development process, from initial design concepts to pre-production samples, guaranteeing each range meets the high standards for aesthetics, quality and cost while adhering to seasonal timelines.The Product Development Manager will be accountable for ensuring all developments comply with the brands traceability strategy and legal safety requirements, while also maintaining exceptional value and quality in garment construction. Collaboration with the wholesale and production teams is key as you facilities the smooth handover of new styles and support the production team in making technical decisions regarding fit and construction. The role will also involve communicating product details to marketing and e-commerce teams, monitoring supplier performance and identifying areas for continuous improvement.To thrive in this fast-paced environment, you should have over five years of experience in apparel product development, with a strong background in fashion design or technical qualifications. Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative spirit are essential as you build strong relationships with the brands apparel suppliers. A solid understanding of fabric construction, garment fitting and safety requirements.
