We are investing in new and existing capabilities and have a number of exciting opportunities available. Our Product Developers are responsible for the product development process for homeware within the Country Road brand, collaborating with buyers, designers, technical designers and suppliers to bring products to life.
This requires negotiating with vendors to meet cost targets and product brief requirements and orchestrating the go-to-market calendar to ensure samples and products are delivered on time and in full to customers.
Key Accountabilities Manage, coordinate, and optimise the critical path and go-to-market calendar for the brand category to launch products on time.Manage category costs to achieve quality and margin targets, providing cost estimates and solutions to align products with commercial and aesthetic goals.Drive costing and negotiation process with suppliers to deliver viable cost solutions to brands, offering alternative solutions as required.Engage with factory through each stage of the development process to ensure clarity of expectations.Coordinate all internal stakeholders, incl.
Buyers, Designers, Tech Designers, and manage risks to ensure critical path is delivered for brands.Manage supplier relationships and coordinate capacity planning across the supply chain.Embrace uncertainty and change while facilitating and enabling strategic change with clarity, empathy and optimism.Create & foster an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive and feel included, respected and safe.
Set clear expectations of behaviour and hold self and others accountable.Key Capabilities Experience in a Product Development role in homeware within the fashion and luxury sectors.Strong understanding of fashion and luxury item costing, and proven experience in negotiating high-value, high-volume partnerships with suppliers.Planning and organisation skills to oversee timeliness of critical path.Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical compliance in sourcing and production.Strategic thinking and commercial acumen to align production activities with brand goals.Experience leading a team (Senior Product Developers).Exceptional relationship cultivation and management skills with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.Why work for CRG?
