Details of the offer

About Us There's an eternal optimist in all of us who dreams of a big, life-changing lottery win. At Oz Lotteries' we exist to make this a reality. Offering everyday Aussies more chances to win, more often — on a wide range of commercial and charity lotteries. Owned by ASX-listed company Jumbo Interactive, Oz Lotteries has operated as an e-commerce lottery retailer since 2005 and was one of the first online retailers. Today we have over 2 million customers across our website and mobile apps. Choosing our optimised platform to play life-changing commercial lotteries (think Powerball and Oz Lotto), along with popular charity lotteries that can't be found on other platforms. What sets us apart is our unwavering focus on creating possibilities. Staying true to our Aussie roots, we're motivated to innovate and perform — as a proportion of ticket sales go back to Australian charities and the Government. What will you be doing? Oz Lotteries is currently embarking on an exciting transformational journey. So now we're aiming to create more points of difference — through new ways to play (and win), loyalty programs and a refreshed Oz Lotteries brand on the horizon. To help deliver these pillars we're looking for a new product designer to join our small design team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to own a value stream and work on problems from research through to delivery. Injecting joy, delight and craft into experiences across our Oz Lotteries website, app and admin dashboard. You'll also play a key role in the rollout of our new Oz Lotteries brand, helping to reimagine interfaces and contributing to Figma design system updates. You'll have the opportunity to:Work closely with a product manager and cross-functional engineering team to break down problems and design solutions as per the roadmap — championing our player's voice through all phases of each project. Craft high-quality interfaces and experiences, with a focus on joy & delight. You'll produce clean and organised design files to share with other team members. And you'll work closely with developers on QA features, ensuring they meet our design standards. Be accountable for facilitating user research in your value stream — collecting qualitative/quantitative data as needed. You'll break down insights into digestible pieces of information that can be shared to influence change and improve our product. Our players are at the centre of what we do. You will be the voice of the player within the business. Ensuring that our player's needs are always put first, as you aim to create a 'best in class' lottery experience. Partner with the other members of our small product design team, contributing to our design systems and helping to improve our team processes as required. We would like you to bring to this role:
A background working as a product designer in a similar role, designing for web/mobile applications. You've experienced the ups and downs of designing product features, learning from customer feedback and working within product processes. A background working with Figma at the highest level to create high-fidelity designs and prototypes — utilising features such as component variants & auto-layout. You'll also be happy jumping back into the Adobe suite when required. Visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and craft. You'll sweat the small stuff and always aim to produce pixel perfect designs, or flows & interactions that feel right. Communication and writing skills, whether it's crafting ui copy or conveying design ideas. You can find the sweet spot between expressive, clear, and brief. An appreciation of information architecture, interaction design, and familiarity with web accessibility best practices. You'll also know enough HTML and CSS to be able to produce designs that can be easily translated into development. Familiarity with a range of user research techniques and methodologies. You'll know when to reach for the right research technique at the right time, and will be happy conducting research sessions, talking with players and synthesising insights. A portfolio needs to be submitted with your application (either online or in PDF) that showcases your product design ability, experience and process.
Salary: $90,000-$140,000 p/a depending on experience Why join the Oz Lotteries team? As part of the Oz Lotteries team, we want you to feel like a winner too!
