We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Product Designer. Whilst this role is advertised in Perth, WA, given the role's hybrid nature we would consider all candidates across Australia.
The product designer designs and develops reusable product solutions using our products. Your responsibilities will include the entire product solution lifecycle, from researching use cases and designing robust solutions to testing, documenting, and iterating based on prioritized user feedback.
In addition to this, you may be involved in the design and implementation of ad hoc projects aimed at driving company growth including product integrations with third-party technology partners.
Research and Analysis:Conduct thorough research on use cases to understand client needs and requirements.Analyze industry trends and best practices to inform product and solution design.Solution Design and Development:Produce scope documents for discussion in collaboration with Product, Sales & Marketing.Develop proof-of-concepts to validate feasibility of proposed solutions.Identify issues and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve problems.Liaise with users and customers across the business to understand their needs.Design and build configurable solutions within HSI's products.Create specifications for solutions including user stories and acceptance criteria where appropriate.Engage with the product team and raise suggestions around features that may improve solution and product scalability.Testing and Quality Assurance:Perform or arrange testing of product solutions to ensure functionality and performance.Identify and resolve any issues and bugs identified with the solution.Documentation:Write or arrange comprehensive documentation for each solution, including installation guides, user guides, and technical specifications.Ensure that documentation is updated as solutions are iterated and improved.User Feedback and Iteration:Gather and analyze feedback from users, sales, and marketing to identify areas for improvement.Keep up to date with product enhancements and best practices.Implement changes and enhancements based on new features, new practices, and user feedback to ensure continuous improvement of solutions.Manage a backlog of prioritized feedback and potential improvements for the solutions.Integrations and Implementations:Collaborate with third-party technology partners to design and implement integrations.Ensure integrations are seamlessly incorporated into our products.Participate in design projects aimed at supporting and driving company growth.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, customer support, implementation, and marketing.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.Continuous Improvement:Stay current with advancements in software design and development.Proactively seek opportunities to enhance existing processes and solutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; Master's Degree is a plus.2-5 years' experience in one or more related areas (SaaS solutions architect, business analyst, SaaS developer, technical product marketing).3+ years of experience researching and analyzing data; including the ability to extract, aggregate, and summarize data from disparate systems.Experience with Agile Methodology preferred.Access to a confidential and free EAP Service (Employee Assistance Program).
