Leverage on your creativity and design expertise to recommend intuitive design solutions and stay current with trend.
Reporting to the Design Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Understand, recognise and implement design standards and processesProduce accurate design documentation that addresses the design brief and in alignment with product and display delivery programsTake on a design concept and implement the idea/s across the product rangePositively support and foster the continual improvements on product designsResolve design related queries that may arise from Display, Masters, Operations and other disciplines within the businessManage the design and documentation of all aspects of the home which may include – site plans, floor plans, facades, elevations, internals, design options, relevant details, and DOL/other forms of schedulesKeep up-to-date and adhere to national building codes and regulationsAware of the procedures for obtaining permits and approvals for construction projectsStay on trend and current with residential design trends, latest building products and emerging technologies to drive innovationMeet set deadlines and contribute actively to individual and team workflow, reporting and time management; andProblem solve and contribute positively to the solution of product designs.

The successful candidate will have: Strong design skills and a passion for design excellenceHas a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative residential designs, demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centred design principlesRelevant degree or diploma in Building Design & Drafting, Diploma of Architectural Drafting or equivalentMinimum 5 years of experience in design and/or drafting environmentExperience in the residential volume home building industry in a design and/or drafting capacity is highly preferredProficiency in design software and tools relating to house design.
Preference for advance CAD skills in RevitProficiency with current versions Microsoft Office suite, and an aptitude for learning new systemsStrong knowledge of building & planning codes and standards; andExcellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-orientated environment.
