As a Product Assembler, you will be responsible for ensuring that the LED lighting products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on assembly of LED lighting products according to standardised work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
Prepare product components to be assembled and ensure that all of them have been quality-tested.
Ensure control of assembly steps using the assembly drawings provided.
Maintain inventory of electronic components and materials required for LED lighting assembly.
Inspect sub-assemblies for workmanship and compliance to documentation.
Conduct visual inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process.
Perform functional testing of LED lighting products using specialised equipment to ensure proper operation and functionality.
Pack finished assemblies for safe transit, affix shipping labels and layout for pickup.
Ensure that work tools are in good working condition and that the work area is clean and organised.
Set up and maintain workstations and equipment necessary for LED lighting assembly.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional technical certifications in electronics or assembly processes is a plus.
Min 2+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing.
LED lighting manufacturing a plus.
Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, work orders, reports and assembly instructions.
Proficiency in soldering and using hand tools commonly used in electronics assembly.
Basic knowledge of testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and good hand-eye coordination.
Desire to learn and grow skill set to be a productive member of the team.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and remain focused with exceptional attention to detail.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of OH&S requirements.
Positive team-oriented attitude with effective communication and a willingness to learn.
