In this role, you will be required to carry out a range of duties associated with the manufacture of timber wall frames and roof trusses.
These duties include: Receiving materials Unloading and loading trucks Setting up and operating CNC machining and processing centres Assembling timber wall frames Laying up timber roof trusses Operating a truss press Carrying out quality and product care procedures during all manufacturing stages Supporting the organisation's operational plans to meet customer needs The position requires the development and continual updating of skills and knowledge and a willingness to learn on the job.
Minimum Requirements: WHS Construction Induction training Completion of a program of on-the-job training related to the responsibilities and duties set out in this job description First aid certificate Industry or supplier training in the operation of a range of CNC machinery used in the manufacture of timber frames and trusses FPI30910 Certificate III in Timber Truss Design and Manufacture Knowledge & Skills: Operational level computer skills related to CNC machinery Skills and knowledge required to use a variety of hand and power tools used in the manufacture of frames and trusses Reliable and accurate measurement and calculation skills for length and quantity Literacy and numeracy skills to the level required to interpret designs and drawings used to set up for and manufacture frames and trusses High level computer skills related to the use of CNC machinery Ability to create drawings using computer aided design systems Personal Characteristics: Ability to establish and maintain communication with others Ability to contribute to the effectiveness of the team by making constructive contributions to the team results Ability to solve routine problems and detect and report on hazards and issues in the workplace Ability to select and use appropriate equipment and grade materials to best end use Ability to plan and organise own work activities including identifying and prioritising work tasks to meet the organisation's operational plan Willingness to participate in a program of on-the-job learning in conjunction with team members Self-starter with proven ability to use initiative #J-18808-Ljbffr
