About the RoleAs a Product Area Manager in VISTA - Visible Insights for Strategic Transformation Analytics team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the required datasets and reporting are delivered to fulfill regulatory obligations such as CPS230 and CPS900, and then scale and industrialize the Business Service to provide observability of financials, operations, risk and performance metrics to better serve our customers, be more proactive, resilient and cost effective. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product management of VISTA's Business Service Observability capability that will enable the monitoring and understanding of the behaviour, performance and health of a business service within ANZ. This role will be responsible for the run, change and protect agenda of Business Service Observability Analytics and Visualisation product, leading a cross functional team and forming execution squads as appropriate to support the service.

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC What will your day look like?As a Product Area Manager, you are accountable to:
End to End ownership of the Product Area: Defining the Business Service Observability work, including the dependencies across product areas and teamsEnsuring delivery of agreed Features, proactively allocating work across the Squads and managing budgets, risks and dependencies across the AreaCreating a safe environment where people are engaged in the work, motivated to deliver and feel part of a highly effective team – where it is safe to take up your role and raise concerns.Acting as the custodian of Business Service Observability Analytics and Visualisation capabilities including third party vendor providers.Execution of the Product Area Strategy: Co-developing the product area strategic roadmap with the Service Owner and refine the mission as required.Working with the squads to break down, prioritise and sequence the work.Removing roadblocks and managing alignment and interdependencies with other product areas or squads.Ensuring the product area's solution is maintained, optimised for efficiency and continues to be industry best in class, with strategic go forward roadmaps.Developing Expertise across the Product Area: Developing the strategy for the expertise of the Product Area and monitors and drives capability development.Continuously developing expertise and staying up to date with emerging trends, practices and information.Working with the Service Owner to understand and plan for workforce capability needs, current and future.Supporting the personal development and performance of their teams through coaching and development planning.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Good understanding of Banking Services and processes.Deep expertise in product management and understands what it takes to create, develop and manage a product successfully.Proven ability to plan for the long-term growth and development of a product, innovating and adapting to the latest developments.Previous experience with core systems and/or data management systems.Previous experience establishing observability analytics and visualisation to ensure operations is supported through data-driven insights and information.Good understanding of business service observability tools, including GenAI and machine learning solutions.Solid delivery experience and/or leading highly competent, technical teams to deliver strategic agenda.Experience in cradling both business and technology verticals.Experience facilitating governance meetings and decision groups.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions into simple language to senior stakeholders and galvanise diverse groups of people around a common mission.Actively connects outside and inside ANZ to leverage latest thinking, providing practical/relevant ideas, improvements and fit-for-purpose solutions.Demonstrated ability to apply expertise in novel and ambiguous contexts to solve large, adaptive challenges.Sought out as a credible guide, coach or mentor who has successfully led cross functional teams.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
