Location: Sydney (Preference) or Melbourne Type: Full time - 9-month fixed term contract The opportunity This role reports to the Product Governance Manager to drive establishment and implementation of appropriate processes and capabilities that support a robust product governance and compliance framework.

Your new role Conduct periodic reviews of general insurance products in alignment with QBE's Product Governance Framework.
Reviews are focused on monitoring of product and customer appropriateness.
Liaising with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant data and insights pertaining to the product reviews.
Understanding the regulatory and competitive landscape through assessment of market data, regulator and advocacy developments and apply such data and information to product reviews, highlighting key considerations relevant to the product.
Delivering product review outcomes to product owners highlighting key insights and solution-based recommendations.
Monitoring and reporting on adherence to Product Governance processes.
Ongoing communication with internal stakeholders of planned product reviews.
Support the embedment of product governance practices through technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
About you Understanding of general insurance products and a strong desire to expand knowledge in general insurance product lifecycle governance.
Awareness of, and desire to continuously grow knowledge in, relevant legislation and regulation in relation to general insurance products especially Product Design and Distribution Obligations.
Awareness of, and desire to expand working knowledge of risk management and control development and implementation.
Self-driven problem solving and investigative mindset.
Outcome focused customer centric mindset.
Strong attention to detail particularly when producing business documents and reporting.
