The Role
Are you a passionate and experienced journalist with a keen eye for investigative storytelling? ABC is seeking an exceptional Producer / Reporter for the iconic 7.30 program.
As a Producer / Reporter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of the 7.30 program, delivering hard-hitting investigative reports, and engaging viewers with compelling storytelling.
You will work closely with a team of talented journalists, researchers, and production crew to uncover stories that matter, challenge the status quo, and hold those in power accountable.
The Job
Key responsibilities include:

Researching, developing, and producing high-quality investigative stories and current affairs pieces for the 7.30 program
Conducting in-depth interviews with newsmakers, experts, and those affected by the issues being covered
Presenting live on-air segments with professionalism, authority, and engaging delivery
Collaborating with the production team to ensure seamless execution of segments and adherence to editorial standards
Utilising multimedia platforms to enhance storytelling and engage audiences across various channels

About You
To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional journalistic skills, a proven track record in investigative reporting, and a commitment to ethical and accurate journalism.
You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of current affairs and the Australian socio-political landscape.
You'll be able to demonstrate:

Highly advanced long-form reporting, writing, investigative and story-telling skills
Comprehensive understanding of, and experience in, television current affairs production and feature length television story making and production
Excellent political, business and general contacts
