Full time fixed term (6 months)Seeking an experienced, creative and innovative individual with a passion for the arts and live performanceJoin Australia's largest performing arts venue at a pivotal time in its transformationAbout the role The Producer, Programming will join our team to provide support over the busy summer season of events and performances at ACM.
This fixed-term role calls for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in producing outstanding arts and cultural events, good negotiation skills and the ability to hit the ground running in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with artists and presenters will be key, as well as working closely with internal ticketing, marketing and communications teams to ensure successful delivery.
Full time fixed term position (6 months).
Band 4.1 Salary $98,128.16 per annum plus superannuation. To be successful in this role, you will require: Relevant professional or tertiary qualification in arts, a specific art form, event management, or related disciplines and/or relevant industry experienceExperience in producing and presenting complex performing arts eventsKnowledge of the performing arts industry and high level of literacy across the various performing arts disciplinesExperience scoping and managing project budgets and resourcesExperience in working closely with artists particularly during planning and presentation stages of projectsDemonstrated experience in working with production, ticketing, marketing and communicationsThe Arts Centre Melbourne Programming Unit sits within the Performing Arts pillar and is responsible for delivering:
a breadth and range of presentations either at Arts Centre Melbourne's own risk or presented within a partnership/co-presentation framework with external presenting companiesevents that meet the organisation's curatorial framework and complement the provision by Resident Companies and external presenters;events that contribute to the overall venue utilisation targets at Arts Centre Melbourne; anda program of education/creative learning, participatory/public realm, access and inclusion, community and public programs that meet the organisation's public purpose obligations.The business unit is comprised of program management, artform programming, education, coordinating, and producing team members.
