Procurement & Transaction Management - Infrastructure Advisory Full-time

In 2023 we launched our Infrastructure Procurement Manager to join our Program Advisory team in Australia, as part of our global strategy to increase the consulting and advisory support we provide to our major infrastructure clients. Already, our team have helped clients develop procurement strategies for major Infrastructure projects, and undertake transaction management across major sustaining capital programs. With our Procurement Advisory business flourishing, we are looking for talented, assured and energetic people with experience in procurement, transaction management and contract management on major programs and projects to join our team. At Turner & Townsend, we offer a wide variety of benefits to our staff to help them inside or outside of the work. We offer true work-life balance, working from home arrangements, team events and much more. We believe that our people are at the heart of our success and continually strive to build a great place in which to work and grow as both individuals and professionals. In our Procurement Advisory team, you will be client-facing to build and maintain high-quality relationships with key clients in our target markets. You will play a key role in building our team's capability and culture. A significant amount of your time will be spent leading consulting/advisory assignments for clients. You will excel in your role as a key contributor and leader in multi-disciplinary advisory teams. Your deep knowledge and experience in procurement, transaction management and contract management will be critical to the success of our work for clients. The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows: Developing robust contemporary procurement strategies for our clients' major projects and programs, helping to assure successful project outcomes and reduce delivery risks. Transaction management on major ($300m+) capital projects, setting up projects and programs for success by leading the procurement process. Providing clients with expert contract management skills to support their projects, from initial contract set up through to managing variations and claims. Proactively building networks with other members of the Turner & Townsend team, and with our key clients in the region, becoming a trusted advisor on matters relating to procurement and contract management for capital projects. Contributing to Turner & Townsend's vision and mission by developing proposals to address client challenges, creating innovative new service offerings, and prudent management of financial performance within your area of the business. Being an active and empathetic leader of integrated advisory teams, taking ownership of commissions from start to finish, and directing and coaching our consulting staff. Making a material contribution to business development and practice development. Creating a collaborative and supportive team environment.

To fit in with our team and add value to our clients, we are looking for people who are the right cultural fit, have appropriate professional qualifications, and can draw on relevant experience from previous roles and projects. Candidates will require the following: Cultural fit - you will be a self-starter, who is comfortable in turning ambiguous requirements and challenges from our clients into well-orchestrated solutions. There is a wealth of experience and support from the teams within Turner & Townsend, and you will be the sort of person that proactively seeks this out, engages with others, and learns from those around you. Professional qualifications relevant to the world of procurement and major projects. This may include qualifications from CIPS, RICS, AIPM or other leading project management and quantity surveyor peak industry bodies. As well as appropriate professional qualifications, it is vital that you are well-organised, articulate, and able to create documents that are to a high standard in terms of both grammar and presentation, utilising contemporary Microsoft 365 solutions. Experience and background that provides the necessary credibility to our teams and our clients to support your role as trusted advisor. This may come from holding senior project management, quantity surveyor (QS), commercial/contract management or procurement roles on large capital programs and/or projects. Ideally, these projects and programs will be associated with sectors such as property construction (either commercial property or industrial property) and/or infrastructure construction (for example roads, rail, airports or utilities). The ability to deal with uncertainty and think on your feet, so experience in working in an advisory role providing consulting services to organisations, although not essential, will be highly regarded.

Our inspired people share our vision and mission. We provide a great place to work, where each person has the opportunity and voice to affect change. We want our people to succeed both in work and life. To support this we promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.

Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and actively encourage applications from all sectors of the community.
