Our client is seeking a Procurement Sustainability Lead to make a significant impact on their procurement activities. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to mature ESG procurement practices. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving positive social and environmental impacts through the organisation's procurement strategy.
What you'll do:
As a Procurement Sustainability Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation's sustainable procurement strategy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with the organisation's business objectives, translating these into various programs of work that advance positive social and environmental impacts. Your role will involve coordinating content submissions for external reporting, maintaining the Supplier Code of Conduct, and sharing global trends in procurement sustainability practices. Your unique contribution will help drive an impact on the communities through its procurement and supply chain activities.
* Drive the development and implementation of a Sustainable Procurement strategy aligned with the organisation's business objectives.
* Establish measures by which Sustainable Procurement programs of works impact communities.
* Draft and lead the coordination of the annual Modern Slavery Statement.
* Coordinate content submissions for relevant external reporting such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Carbon Disclosure Program.
* Maintain and implement the Supplier Code of Conduct to clarify expectations of suppliers in relation to ESG related issues.
* Share global trends and developments in procurement sustainability practices to drive future enhancements to existing group procurement policy, practices, and commitments.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Sustainability Lead position brings extensive experience in procurement, particularly in ESG procurement transformation or sustainable and ethical procurement consulting. You have a proven ability to build strategy, manage programs of work, and deliver results through others. Your strong working knowledge of ISO20400 principles and Modern Slavery Legislation sets you apart. You possess excellent report writing skills, analytical abilities, attention to detail, along with experience in mandatory ESG reporting. Your passion for creating a positive impact through delivering ESG procurement projects will be key to your success in this role.
* 10+ years' experience in procurement with at least 5 years in an ESG procurement transformation role or sustainable and ethical procurement consulting.
* Ability to build strategy and manage programs of work, delivering to deadlines through others.
* Strong working knowledge of ISO20400 principles and Modern Slavery Legislation.
* Excellent report writing, analytical skills, attention to detail.
* Passion for creating a positive impact through delivering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) procurement projects.
* Experience in mandatory ESG reporting.
