Full Job Description
Our client, a successful $200M revenue company in the utilities industry, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their growing function.
This role is integral to the function and prioritizes expanding their supplier base.
This role is a priority to drive indirect procurement operations across Tasmania, working with key internal and external stakeholders and building strong relationships to drive a value-adding procurement strategy.
The Role:

Provide expert procurement guidance to foster effective market engagement and align purchases with our business goals.
Lead the source-to-contract procurement process, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with procurement standards.
Uphold fair and transparent decision-making, ensuring all procurement activities align with our policies and ethical standards.
Oversee project management tasks related to sourcing and contracting, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
Create procurement reports and dashboards that highlight market trends and insights, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Guide the evaluation and selection of suppliers through well-structured plans that assess value and key criteria.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop high-value, complex tender documentation and facilitate thorough evaluations.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to offer specialized advice on optimal procurement options.
Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with the Supply Chain Services team and contract owners.
Conduct market and supply analysis to optimize procurement strategies for our stakeholders.
Identify and implement strategies to manage risks in complex procurement projects, balancing risk between our organization and suppliers.
Contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused procurement team that thrives on innovation.

What you will need:
At least 2-5 years experience in a procurement role.
Indirect Procurement Experience.
Tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management or a related discipline is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in developing a procurement function or improving existing procurement practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
