What you'll do:
As the Procurement specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering procurement category management across the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing category plans and strategies, managing existing contracts, identifying beneficial initiatives, defining supply models, aligning supplier processes with internal ones, and providing relationship management for recruitment and labour hire services. This role requires resilience, strong communication skills, and the ability to hold tough conversations. In return, you will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration.
• Develop and implement category plans, sourcing strategies, and negotiation strategies
• Gather market and industry intelligence about categories in scope
• Manage a category of existing suppliers and contracts including analysis of existing contracts and current spend
• Identify initiatives that derive benefits through sourcing, demand management, or contract management opportunities
• Prioritise initiatives according to business critically, capacity requirements, inter-dependencies, and potential benefits
• Define appropriate supply models for each category of spend
• Align Supplier processes with internal processes to drive efficiency's for both parties
• Provide single point representation and relationship management for Procurement for Recruitment and Labour Hire services
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Procurement Leader role brings extensive experience in procurement, ideally within large organisations with complex environments. You have proven your ability to achieve tangible commercial results and deliver quality outputs within tight time frames. Your cross-functional expertise allows you to effectively manage stakeholders and collaborate with multiple leaders, functions, and suppliers. Your resilience, strong communication skills, and ability to work with ambiguity make you a perfect fit for this role.
• Minimum of 5 year's experience in procurement
• Experience with recruitment and labour hire services type agreements is desirable
• Experience in large organisations with complex environments
• Experience in a centralised procurement/commercial environment providing services to a broad customer base
• Proven track record of achieving tangible commercial results
• Experience in delivering quality outputs within tight time frames within a standardised project management framework and structured procurement approach
• Cross-functional expertise and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to changing environments
