Permanent full time | Flexible work opportunitiesBased in our office at Macquarie UniversityCompetitive base salary plus 15.4% superannuationWe are looking for an experienced procurement professional who can manage, lead and support end-to-end procurement activities that are assigned by Head of Procurement.
This includes implementing short-term and long-term effective procurement strategies that align with the organization goals and objectives, managing end-to-end procurement activities.

Here's how you'll do it:
Utilise spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects for individual subcategories and develop an overall cost reduction plan.Lead and execute strategic sourcing strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, risk compliance, and other areas as identified.Act as the internal point of contact for supplier management and complaint resolution; conduct regular supplier meetings and implement improvement strategies with suppliers.Ensure all contracts are up-to-date and meet legal and regulatory requirements.Actively seek ways to streamline business processes; research and provide information on industry category trends and best practices.
Provide procurement input to maximize procurement leverage, optimize project design, and minimize project durations and cost.Aggressively manage category performance by adhering to internal savings goals and reviewing financial models.Track compliance and support formal management reporting to the Executives and other senior management members.Benchmark, track, and analyze annual performance metrics and sourcing trends against the budget monthly to demonstrate continuous improvement and progress against strategic objectives.Drive consolidation of spend and seek out synergies across Business Units where applicable, by forming and leading cross-functional strategic sourcing teams to develop and implement category/commodity strategies and to drive cost from individual spend sub-categories.What you'll bring A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement category management / sourcing.Proven experience preferably in Australian Government procurement processes and compliance.Experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects and RFx processes.Proven track record of identifying cost reduction opportunities and driving significant, tangible financial benefit to the business.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated experience in supplier performance management.Why Hearing Australia?
