Our Australian operations now include three solar plants with a consolidated capacity of around 310 megawatts (MW) and 75MW wind farm and 90MW solar farm under construction.
Today, Enel Green Power Australia is a 50/50 joint venture between energy giants, Enel Group and INPEX. Role Overview The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the supply of products & services essential for the company's operations. Reporting to the Head of Procurement (Australia), this position will lead & assist on a variety of long-term & medium-to-high value complex contracts related to the development, execution, construction & operation of power generation assets for various renewable technologies. This position will ensure all goods & services are procured to provide maximum value in terms of quality, price & schedule, whilst minimizing risks.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out procurement (Direct and Indirect) for all purchase services & sourcing commodity lead for business functions. Collaborate with Requesting Units to understand the requirements & implement best procurement & contracting strategies. Negotiate best price points via market intelligence & competitor analysis with the objective of meeting customer expectations on quality & timelines within stipulated budgets. Execute applicable/approved sourcing strategies & drive supplier negotiations to meet quality, fulfilment & productivity requirements of the business, including identification of suitable/appropriate suppliers & articulation of service requirements. Experience in contracts structure, contract negotiations & Audit Closure of related commodities. Perform risk management regarding supply contracts & agreements. Supplier Management & on-time payments to vendors for maintaining service continuity. Develop successful working partnerships with Finance & other business units to understand their procurement needs. Execute Procurement Annual Plans. Selection Criteria: At least 3 years working in a similar role (engineering and/or power generation operation and maintenance). Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Successful experience in leading activities in different business cycles and dynamics. Working experience with integrations and working in a multi-culture environment. Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. Experienced and confident negotiator and communicator at all organization levels and with suppliers. Good judgment in resolving issues; proactively seek solutions to upcoming issues and offer insights and ideas. Ability to interact with major EPC companies, contractors & suppliers in Australia. Strong communication and group process skills, ability to build confidence with local business managers in their ability to understand their needs and execute value-added Procurement Management activities. Good level of proficiency with the most common digital productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office package), a previous knowledge of SAP and similar software used within the procurement/supply chain will be a plus.
