As a Procurement Specialist, you will provide the critical link to support the needs of both the procurement category teams and the local factory/business.
Contributing to and supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, with a focus on ingredients and packaging categories.
You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to identify and translate factory and business insights into solutions driving optimal outcomes in sourcing, systems, and factory operations for Nestle Oceania.
Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, this role provides a broad insight into the procurement function while helping to manage commercial risk and drive excellence in the supply base.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
A day in the life… Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, you will be responsible for: Supporting the factories, team, and business with all aspects of supply.
Understand factory needs, insights, local constraints & regulation.
Ensuring the timely and accurate availability of contracts so that factories can order materials for production using the SAP system and associated processes.
Contributing to the development of relevant sourcing strategies at both factory and business levels and showcasing the significant value that procurement delivers to the business.
Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive process and service improvement.
Providing procurement insights to support cost management and providing timely visibility in relation to risk and opportunity.
Driving and delivering procurement projects successfully.
Experience in stakeholder and supplier management, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills with a strong focus on process and implementing sustainable solutions to address issues.
Strong commercial acumen.
Understanding of risk management and analyses.
The ideal candidate would have demonstrated success in delivering procurement projects with cross-function and cross-market teams.
Experience within FMCG, coupled with experience in a multi-national or complex local environment, will be viewed favorably.
