Leading FMCG seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 6-month contract to support the Head of Supply Chain in the management of direct procurement for Australia Region.

$55-70 per hour + super The Role My client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Retail and Warehousing departments to support the supply chain needs and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and logistics, to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain strong relationships to ensure ongoing collaboration.
Manage procurement budgets and report on savings and expenditures.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement Experience in the FMCG sector is essential Experience with SAP Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
