Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Our client is currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team within the local government sector. As a senior member within the team, this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of ongoing and upcoming projects by leading the development and implementation of procurement plans and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging end to end procurement processes and contracts for a range of council projects and programsProviding sound advice on tender evaluation plans and the management of high risk and complex procurement processesBuilding and developing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliersProviding training to ensure compliance with contracts, tenders and procurement policies, procedures and systemsRefining and improving existing systems and procedures to ensure best practiceDeveloping and presenting reports to management to inform decision makingSelection CriteriaA background in procurement, contract management, commercial finance, legal, or similarExperience working in local council, government, public sector statutory authorities or corporations, utilities or similar is desiredDemonstrated stakeholder management and engagement abilities, as well as high level written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsAn ability and willingness to mentor othersHow to ApplyTo apply for this opportunity, please submit your CV via the link or call Randstad's Procurement specialists, Bridie Taglienti and Rachel Homer on 0409 238 997.
