About the role
As a Procurement Specialist at Noble Built Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in our construction business based in Mile End, South Australia. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our procurement processes to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for our construction projects.
Responsibilities: Analyze the specific material requirements for construction projects, including types, specifications, and quantities of materials such as steel, concrete, timber, electrical equipment, pipes, and decorative materials, ensuring sufficient supply at all stages of the project.Identify and select high-quality building material suppliers, establish and maintain long-term relationships, and regularly evaluate the quality, delivery capacity, and service standards of suppliers.Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and quality standards with suppliers based on market conditions, ensuring the best prices for high-quality materials that meet project needs.Monitor the inventory of construction materials, optimize warehouse management, coordinate material deliveries with site requirements, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet construction schedules.Closely monitor the procurement budget, develop and implement cost control strategies, ensuring that projects are executed within the budget.Draft and review procurement contracts, ensuring that contract terms are legally compliant and aligned with company policies and requirements.Stay informed about fluctuations in the prices of construction materials and supply chain dynamics, proactively predicting the impact of material price changes on projects, and adjusting procurement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure stable material supply.Collaborate closely with manager and construction teams to ensure that the procured materials meet the requirements of construction drawings, providing ongoing support at each stage of the project to ensure timely project completion.Requirements: To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following experience:
At least three years of experience as a procurement specialist.Experience as a Procurement Specialist in the construction industry is required.Fluent in English communication is required.Flexible working on modified schedules and alternative hours.Preference for bilingual candidates.
