About the Role
We're seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our clients Resource and Mining Services team in Perth on an initial 12-month contract.
In this role, you'll leverage your category management expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver innovative procurement solutions, drive value, and minimise risk.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with objectives.Build and maintain sustainable, long-term relationships with key suppliers, focusing on innovation and mutual value creation.Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with business needs.Manage day-to-day category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and market engagement activities.Negotiate contracts to achieve beneficial commercial outcomes.Identify and mitigate procurement risks while solving problems creatively.About You
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
3–5 years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, and supplier relationship management.Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority.Proven experience building credible relationships with stakeholders and managing competing priorities.A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Mining industry experience (highly desirable).Experience sourcing services.What's on OfferCompetitive hourly and day rates available.Work in a flexible and collaborative environment in Perth's CBD.Join a dynamic team and take ownership of a strategic portfolio.Flexible working to allow you to control your work/life balance.Opportunity to work with a global leader and develop your career in procurement.This role requires applicants to be based in Perth and hold the relevant working rights.
