As our Procurement Specialist you will play a key role in supporting staff as a procurement business partner across all departments with high quality and timely procurement activities.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Providing procurement, tendering, contract management and probity advice to staff at all levels across the organisation.
Coordinating and conducting tender processes for Council.
Overseeing specific procurement projects under the direction of the Procurement and Contracts Manager.
Providing guidance, education, and support on relevant procurement and contract management policies, processes and procedures.
Driving a culture within the organisation of procurement innovation and compliance continuous improvement.
About youWe are seeking a committed professional with experience in procurement or a similar field. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in establishing and managing supplier panels, as well as coordinating tender processes for a wide range of goods, services, and works, including infrastructure maintenance, building, and civil construction.
The following is also required: Tertiary qualification in procurement or a related field.
1-2 years in the procurement field, including tendering, and contract management experience.
Experience in Local or State government procurement.
Knowledge of Contract and Consumer Law, Trade Practices Legislation and National Competition Policy.
Interview informationThe interviews will take place between Monday and Friday 9 am – 5pm.
