Procurement Specialist

Position : Procurement Specialist Duration : 3-Month temp/full time hours Location : Melbourne CBD  We're seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support a State Government dept sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship needs for 3 months.
You'll develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and ensure the timely availability of critical products and services.
Expertise in procurement practices, particularly within government guidelines, and strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities : -Provide procurement advice, complete RFx procedures, and oversee contract execution.
-Maintain procurement records, manage workload reporting, and create quarterly procurement calendars.
-Develop targeted procurement capability strategies, guides, and training materials.
-Ensure adherence to policies, focusing on value delivery and risk reduction.
Requirements: -Proven expertise in procurement and contract management; government procurement knowledge a plus.
-Tertiary qualification or significant experience in procurement.
-Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, influence, adaptability, and commercial acumen.
