About the Team The Procurement Team is a growing, supportive and friendly team.
As Procurement Specialist, you will be a member of the Procurement Team, reporting directly to a Category Manager.
About the Role The Procurement Specialist is part of our Procurement team who are responsible for the sourcing of goods and services, across nominated categories within the business – Electrical, Fabrication, Indirect, Mechanical and MRO.
This role will support the Category Manager and wider Procurement team and will be based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) facility in Redbank.
As a Procurement Specialist, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
The management of quotes, tenders, purchase requisitions; orders and securing goods and services that deliver the best overall commercial value;Undertake expediting of local and international shipments to mitigate production delays across the program;Strategic sourcing; negotiation of pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers;Supplier Relationship Management; performance reporting, reviews and materials management;Actively drive cost reductions and increase value for money while championing opportunities for improvement;Contribute to the development, implementation and continued improvement of procurement related working instructions and guidelines;Effectively represent RDA and liaise with industry bodies and government industry representatives to ensure alignment with Rheinmetall global processes;Engagement with internal stakeholders across the business to develop and maintain effective, efficient and cooperative working relationships;Provide support to the Procurement Commodity Leads and the Procurement Manager for periodical reporting activities, reviews and AIC industry requirements.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
Proven experience & results in end to end procurement preferably within a multinational company;The ability to demonstrate experience across all Procurement fundamentals – eg.
sourcing, tendering, contracts, market research analysis, reporting and negotiations;Strong understanding of indirect costs associated with Capital Expenditure, Plant & Equipment, Tools;Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;Drive continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance;Build Supplier Relationships & drive Partnerships and collaboration at all levels;Preferably experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools & in e-Sourcing Tool;Ability to establish and embed a strong negotiation and consultation skill set;An ability to travel interstate if and when required;Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).WHAT WE OFFER YOU
