$120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation
The Role
Our client is an Australian household name and market leader within their space. They are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the Engineering Procurement team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Procurement Portfolio Manager, this Procurement Specialist will lead end-to-end procurement and contract management processes for the maintenance services category.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and executing category management strategies in line with company objectives
Drive strategic sourcing and cost saving activities
Conduct complex tender processes and lead high level negotiations
Execute, draft and award contract agreements
Lead contract performance and strategic relationship management activities to deliver safe, effective, and efficient outcomes for the group
Provide commercial advice for relevant categories across the group
Identify and monitor spend targets and propose improvement measures
Contribute to and continually develop contract and supplier performance management strategies
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience within a strategic sourcing, category management or procurement specialist position required
Experience procuring engineering and maintenance services is essential
Ability to draft contractual agreements
Strong understanding of contract law
Strong communication, relationship building and negotiation skills
