About the Opportunity New career opportunity based in Henderson, WA. Reporting to the procurement manager this role will give you the opportunity to manage and execute activities in key categories of spend to ensure the achievement of ASC strategy, business objectives and shareholder value in support of SSN sustainment. These activities will include sourcing, negotiation, contract management, financial reporting and purchasing within allocated portfolios and will work collaboratively with other programs and capability areas in ASC to ensure optimum commercial outcomes.
You will be responsible for leading engagement with key suppliers and undertaking contracting and procurement activity at all levels including assisting with sourcing strategies, project strategies and schedule planning, coordination of contracting and procurement activities ensuring value for money and delivery on time while managing subcontractor risk.
Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of contracts to support a variety of sustainment and generation projects Ensure compliance to contract values and vendor performance for assigned contracts and portfolios. Management of subcontracts to ensure contract compliance and performance Contract review meetings, key performance indicators, various contractual deliverables Develop savings and other initiatives to improve overall efficiencies that demonstrate value for money and support continuous improvement objectives. Comply with all Supply Chain, WHS policies and procedures and ASC's Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Policy About you Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in a relevant Supply Chain role in a defence, manufacturing, or resource environment Commitment, drive, organisation skills, initiative, and enthusiasm. Demonstrated contract management, communication and negotiation skills. Strong commercial acumen. Significant knowledge of contractual terms and conditions to mitigate risk. Knowledge of enterprise risk management. Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and business case development. Strong skills in Microsoft Office products. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
