Excellent opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our corporate team in South Bank.About Us: BUMA's vision is to build a modern mining and rehabilitation company that drives growth, sustainability and prosperity.This is supported by our core values of safety, integrity, progress, collaboration and people.With a strong commitment to safety, innovation and technology, BUMA pursues a relationship-based long-term approach to ensure the mutual success of all projects.Ensuring we provide value to our clients through all stages of mining is a mainstay of our business and we have the expertise and equipment to deliver total mining services to any surface operation.About the Role: We have a new opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our growing corporate office team at South Bank on a permanent basis, supporting the Manager – Procurement & Supply Chain and BUMA business units to deliver value in best practice procurement for the corporate and operations functions of the business.Key Responsibilities: Conduct end to end sourcing and procurement activities in line with BUMA's business plan, operational requirements and market conditions Network and build relationships with internal stakeholders and key leaders within the business, sharing knowledge and information to empower others to make smart buying decisions Review and analyse spend data and provide visibility and insights to the business on spend trends and behaviours, offering strategies to reduce spend and achieve more value Create RFQ documentation, lead RFQ evaluation, shortlisting, negotiation of contracts through to award, implementation and ongoing monitoring of contracts Establish key preferred supplier contracts and facilitate optimal purchasing methods to minimise business administration load and support operational needs Identify strategic partnerships with suppliers and work to deliver long term win-win relationships Actively engage with business stakeholders to understand their challenges beyond commercials including customer engagement, fulfilment strategies and risk requirements Work closely with the Legal team to construct contract terms and conditions that meet the agreed terms of both the business and suppliers and mitigate risk to the business Supplier Relationship Management – supplier performance management including establishing positive relationships through management of expectations and business objectives, tracking and reporting on contract KPI's and performance and identifying continuous improvement opportunities Conduct post implementation reviews of contracted supply to report actual savings and note any changes to purchase behaviour About You: 5+ years' experience in Procurement Strong commercial focus with an ability to analyse data and articulate a concise recommendation Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage Understand and support business drivers and strategies Well-developed verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate to all levels internally and externally Excellent relationship skills are essential High level of personal integrity and ethics To be considered for this opportunity please click "Apply Now" to submit your application!All final applicants for this position will be asked to consent to a police check.Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically barred from applying for this position.Each application will be considered on its merits.Email applications and agencies are not accepted.BUMA's people are the key to our success.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for advancement in a growing organisation.If you are a highly motivated professional with a passion for complex problem solving and want to be part of an exciting new company, we encourage you to apply.For further information on careers at BUMA please visit our website https://buma.com.au/careers/why-join-us/
