We at Chandler Macleod are seeking a Procurement Partner to join the Finance and Procurement team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting Council's procurement and contract management activities in partnership and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate strategic procurement plans and manage contract processes, collaborating with stakeholders.
Develop and maintain contract documentation, databases, and procurement tools.
Drive cost-saving and sustainability initiatives, ensuring strong governance and risk management.
Implement a procurement assurance system with audits and training.
Provide contract management training to portfolio teams to support Council's procurement goals.
Support the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies, focusing on efficiency.
Lead reporting on procurement and contract activities for partner areas.
Participate in Collaborative Procurement with other councils and manage established contracts.
Deliver high-quality customer service to all stakeholders.
Required to undertake other duties as directed.
Required Skills/Experience: A degree in business, commerce, procurement, or a related field, or extensive experience in procurement.
Experience in a similar role leading or supporting procurement.
Strong background in procurement and contract management.
Proven experience developing, reviewing, and editing tender and contract documents.
Experience coordinating and evaluating tender submissions, with knowledge of evaluation processes and probity requirements.
Technical skills in document management, version control, and quality checking.
Excellent verbal reasoning, written, and oral communication skills.
Good understanding of contract law.
Proficient with computer systems for tenders and contracts, including advanced skills in MS Word and Excel.
