Our Council Narromine Shire Council covers an area of 5264 km2 and has a population of approximately 6444 in the rural townships of Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley and the surrounding rural areas. Narromine is located 40km from the regional city of Dubbo.

About the Position Narromine Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for the position of Procurement Officer - Trainee. This position is funded under the NSW Governments 'Fresh Start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees, and Cadets Program'.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a structured traineeship program, gaining valuable qualifications in procurement and contract management fields.
To be successful in this position you will need to have: Willingness and capacity to undertake studies to Cert IV level.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.It would be desirable for you to have: Completed the HSCClass 'C' drivers' licence – including CP1 / 2General Construction Induction (CIC – White Card) NSWThe details relating to this position are: The position is graded Operational Band 1 / T7 to T10 as per Local Government State Award.The salary range is $1042 to $1194 per week plus superannuation.
