UGL's Transport business is looking for a Procurement Officer to join our eMobility/Transport Infrastructure and Assets team based in North Sydney. The Procurement Officer supports the core functions and processes of the Procurement team. This role includes pre-qualifying new vendors, preparing RFQ and RFQ response evaluations, making purchase orders, updating records, and responding to order and invoice query issues.
This role will also assist the Commercial and Finance Manager with managing all commercial, procurement and financial aspects of contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with obligations at a project and company level.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement: identifying vendors to deliver the right materials with the right quality at the best possible price.
Support Transport I&A project / contract delivery through involvement through tender, preparation of procurement plans and procurement execution to ensure project / contract margins are maximised.
Souring vendors and suppliers within the UGL Procurement Policy across the project/ contract and demonstrating strong compliance to the UGL Procurement and Tender Policies and procedures across the project/ contract.
Support business and operations with the drafting of key subcontracts.Assisting with requests and assessment of quotations from Suppliers
Ensure use of Supply Chain Finance across all major suppliers
Maintain thorough records through the tendering process to ensure proper and efficient handover to Project/ Operations teams.
Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant project teams.
Actively promote and champion the use of best practice to ensure compliance with the UGL Procurement Policy and procedures.
Working with management teams in setting and reviewing the commercial framework for key areas of procurement.



Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Secondary School completion Year 12 as a minimum with tertiary education preferred
Proven understanding and working knowledge of procurement, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a transport or energy industry / high capital-intensive business.
Ability to manage multiple competing stakeholders' demands in a time critical environment
Knowledge and practical experience of process management.
Relevant experience of materials and or vendor management.
Knowledge of warranty systems and processes preferred.
