Procurement Officer
The Procurement Officer is to assist the Procurement Unit to deliver an efficient and effective procurement service to Council's business units.
To administer Council's end to end procurement process, in accordance with legislative and governance requirements. Contribute to the timely fulfilment of the annual procurement delivery program. Responsibilities Assist the Team Leader Procurement to implement and monitor appropriate procurement systems and practices to ensure a high degree of compliance, probity and advice to Business Units. Assist with the preparation and publishing of procurement documents in accordance with legislation, Council's procurement policies/procedures, including established insurance, WH&S and environmental policies. Publish and manage procurement documents, using electronic or automated processes, in accordance with legislation and procedures. Facilitate the management and evaluation of procurement submissions with Business Unit. Assist with the administration of the contract registers and vendor panels. Maintain contract management records and documentation in Council's document management system. Assist and support other members of the Procurement Unit in delivering services to Business Units. Collaborate across business units to deliver value for money procurement outcomes. Assist the Team Leader Procurement in other duties as required. Desirable experience:
Experience in using electronic tendering and evaluation software/systems. Experience in Government tendering and contract management requirements. Experience in establishing contractor performance and managing contract performance. Working knowledge of SAP, contract management module. Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government contracts, policies and regulations. Knowledge of NSW Dept. of Commerce e-tendering system/software.
