Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for an initial 3-month casual contract in their Mundijong office.Title: Procurement OfficerRate: $47-50 per hour plus Super (based on relevant experience)Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hoursLocation: Mundijong, WADuration: 04/11/24 – 17/01/25 (approx.
3 months)Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)What's requiredThe primary responsibility of this role is to provide the effective procurement of goods and services for the Shire through the provision of specialist advice on purchasing issues, ensuring that purchasing is conducted in accordance with policy and legislation and contract management through the purchasing lifecycle.Essential ExperienceExperience in procurement and contract management.Experience in the preparation and review of terms and conditions, specifications, negotiation and management of tenders and supply contracts.Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite.Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical decision making.Desirable ExperiencePrevious Local Government Experience.Experience in the use of Technology One system.Pre-employment RequirementsFull working rights within Australia.Current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain if successful.Willing to undergo a Drug and Alcohol Screening.HOW TO APPLYIf you meet the above requirements and would like to be submitted, APPLY NOW or email Jesse at DFP Recruitment Perth on - I will call you to discuss your application details if shortlisted.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
