YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager as a member of a collaborative Accounts team, the main responsibility of the Procurement Officer will be to ensure compliance with internal procurement processes within the company, specifically with support with onboarding approved vendors, purchase order maintenance, supporting site-based staff with procurement needs and related procurement functions for the national group.
Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.Supporting the purchasing functions across multiple projects and states.Assist the Project and Head Office teams across the package, material and service needs, creating and following up on Purchase Orders and minimising risk to the company.Drive strategic initiatives towards procurement, championing change management with a view to deliver enhanced efficiencies in the Procure to Pay process and systems.Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Provide in-depth training to all new hires to achieve the Company's Procure to Pay objectives.Support all departments to ensure suppliers are chosen based on quality, cost, and reliability.Working within an ERP system to manage the procurement functions.Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including vendor supply chain disruptions and supplier performance issues.ABOUT YOU: Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Procurement with strong knowledge and understanding of the Civil and Construction or Mining industries.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.Thorough attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.Proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement-related issues.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working within Vista is an advantage.Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.WHAT WHITTENS OFFER:
